Position:              Lead Installer / Fencing Contracts Manager

Salary:                  £25,000 to £35,000 depending on experience + commission OTE £50,000

You will get to work in some glorious surroundings and be the master of your day. The fencing will be a wide variety of stock fencing, equestrian fencing, and garden / residential fencing for both private and small to medium scale property developments.

In addition to the basic salary, you will be paid a monthly commission, which not just uncapped, but comes with the opportunity to leverage as many staff, reporting directly to you, as you can successfully manage which provides you with the opportunity to outperform your OTE of £50,000.

You’ll need to have experience in all types of fencing construction both domestic, commercial and agricultural and possess a driving license (preferably clean) and CSCS card/s. For the right candidate, all further training and qualifications required to successfully complete your role will be provided for by the company.

Work wear and company vehicle will be provided and further expenses paid by the company.

The hours are approx 40 hrs per week Mon-Fri. However, we may ask you to work on the occasional Saturday, which given the generous commission, and the “go getter” which we hope you are, you’ll also likely be keen to do a balance of extra Saturdays.

You’ll report to the Managing Director and all your fencing team/s will report in to you.

This is a key role and will require the successful candidate to be responsible for the following:

Deliver exceptionally high levels of service to all clients.

Be responsible for all staff matters including work organisation, routes planning, motivation, disciplinary, appraisals, training needs assessment, team building.

Health & Safety – Be responsible for ensuring you and your team follow all  health and safety matters including implementation of H & S policies, procedures and their communication throughout your fencing team/s · Responsible for making sure that all method statements, risk and COSHH assessments are in place and being followed by all your team/s .

Assist with tenders,  complete site surveys and assemble and deliver quotations for new and additional works. Assist with Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and attend post tender presentation.

Managing and quantify all resources required to complete your fencing jobs including materials, labor, tools and machinery.

Update online customer data / profiles with notes and minutes of conversations and status’s of jobs / tenders.

Exploit opportunities for added value to existing customers through additional works, value engineering, operational efficiencies and other means.

You must be a highly organised and driven individual and effective time manager · Must be IT literate with Word and excel.  Must be good with people and an effective communicator.

You must also be capable of working in a high paced environment where response times and target deadlines are critical in the service industry.
